Besides being aesthetically appealing, the most door/entrance of a house also has got to be within the correct direction, as per Vastu Shastra, to draw in positive energy into the house.
According to Vastu Shastra, the most door of a house is not only the entry point for the family but also for energy. “The main door could also be a transition zone, through which we enter the house, from the outer world. It is a neighborhood from where happiness and good luck enters the house,” says Mumbai-based Vastu consultant. “Consequently, the foremost entrance has been accorded prime importance, because it allows or keeps out the cosmic energy flow that promotes health, wealth and harmony. Moreover, the most door also creates the primary impression of a house,” he points out.
Direction of the main door
“The main door should be within the north, north-east, east, or west, as they're considered auspicious. Avoid having the most door within the south, south-west, north-west (north side), or south-east (east side) directions. A door within the south or south-west, are often corrected by employing a lead metal pyramid and lead helix. A door within the north-west are often corrected, with a brass pyramid and a brass helix, while a door within the south-east direction are often corrected, by employing a copper helix,” suggests Parmar.
The main door should be bigger than the other door within the house and will open during a clockwise manner. Avoid having three doors during a line, parallel to the most door, as this is often considered as a significant Vastu defect and may affect the happiness within the home.
Materials used for the main door:
A wooden door is taken into account most auspicious for the most entrance.
